Clothes Show Live Part 2 // Haul

So sorry for the delay! Following on from my day the Clothes Show Live 2014 (post can be found here) here is what I bought. I tried my best to refrain from buying everything! But surprise, surprise that idea went out of the window completely.

In no particular order:

Here are the goodies which came with platinum goodie bag (plus of a bottle of water):

Barry M

Well up there with one of the best value for money sets, offering 12 items for just £10, my Barry M goodie bag included:

Nail Paints in 336 Magenta Glitter (Sparkly purple), 343 Burgundy Croc (Croc nail effect polish), 337 Pink Silver Glitter, 327 Magnetic Burgundy, TNP1 Atlantic Road (Pale blue textured effect) and SLE 2012 (Bluey silver).

Loudmouth Extreme Lip Colour in Chatterbox, Lip Lacquer Crayon in No 2, Supersoft Eye Crayon in No 6, Liquid Eyeliner in No 5 and a Dazzle Dust in 22.

Ciate

Next onto Ciate. I picked up the Ciate Mini Mani Manor (advent calendar) polish set for a friend and was so soo tempted to get one for myself but seeing as I got the mini mani month last year, I did my best to refrain and held out.

For myself, I picked up the Ciate goodie bag which contained the Beach House nail polishes set in Palm tree, raspberry collins, off shore beach bum and surfs up; a corrupted neon manicure in Club Tropicana, as well as nail polish minis in boudoir, confetti and the clear top coat. The little kit also included two nail glitters in green and blue plus a handy applicator sponge and a cuticle shaper (I think that's what it's called anyway!)

Bare Minerals

From Bare Minerals I got the Face Kit containing the Original SPF 15 Foundation, the Prime Time Foundation Primer, the Prime time Brightening Eyelid Primer, Smoke Eye Colour, Big and Bright Eyeliner in charcoal, Pink Petal Blush, Natural Lipgloss in Fruit cocktail and the Flawless Application Face Brush.

Additionally, I picked up a few bits more bits: a lipstick in Bavarian creme, an eyeliner in Brown and a High-shine Liquid Eye Colour in Gold medal.

Fake Bake

Not yet owning anything from this brand, I seized the opportunity to grab a bargain and a purchased a set containing the Fake Bake Oil Free Moisturizer, the Bronzing Gel in light and the Body polish.

One of my biggest regrets from last year was not purchase a little something from SBP hair, so naturally, this year one of my favourite purchases of all was the SBP hair Style2go half head wig. Mine was in the colour 6 and I already love it so much.

Rimmel

Next onto Rimmel. This year there were three to choose from: 'Rita', 'Kate' and 'Georgia' and I went for Kate. Here is what was in my goodie bag:

The Kate lipstick in 01, Glitter Bomb top coat in 018 Disco fever, Stay blushed in 004 Sunkissed cherry, BB cream in lightKate Mascara in Black and two Exaggerate eyeliners in 263 Starlit black and 046 Ultimate.

Lee Stafford

This was another amazing value goodie bag, £15 pounds for 12 items! My bag included: a Heat Protection Spray, Here Come the Curls Shampoo and Conditioner, My Big Fat Retro Setting Lotion (not pictured), Climate Control Setting Spray, Fat Flexible Hold Hair Spray, Volumising Mousse, Messed up Wonder Web Cream and the Sunkissed Lightening Spray (not pictured). Additionally, the bag contained three Colour Extreme Hair Art sprays in gold, green and white and a bunch of temporary tattoos and body glitter.

Something completely new to me, I decided to get the Cresty Semi Permanent eyebrow kit in the shade dark brown to start filling in my eyebrows. This came with a gold nail varnish and purple lip glitter & glue.

Another brand completely new to me is Nip + Fab, where I picked up a goodie bag containing the Viper Venom Extreme Night Fix cream and a set of three hand creams in Yoga Blend, De-stress Blend and the Detox Blend.

So Susan

From the So Susan stand I got an 8 Hour Cheek Stain, Liquid Powder shadow palette, Dual brow powder, Mascara and a Lip Dome.

I was pleasantly surprised, as I didn't know that Binky from MIC even had a beauty range! At an absolute bargain of 3 items for £5 I picked up two nail polishes and a lipstick, cannot wait to try them out.

Lastly I got a couple of scarves, some Eyelure lashes in Miss Eyelure and Kings Road, and some 3D nail wraps to finish off the day. We were well and truly shopped out!

Hope you enjoyed this post, would love to hear about your favourite products from the brands mentioned :)

NOTD: Glittery neutral nails - Rimmel VS SpaRitual

So I was initially going to do a post about a gorgeous SpaRitual polish in Ballet which I'd recently purchased, however as I went to put it with the rest of my nail polishes I realised I already have a very similar one! Turns out I'd had my Rimmel Space Dust nail polish in Aurora tucked away at the bottom of the draw, completely forgetting about it, even though I don't think I'd purchased it that long ago. As are very similar I thought I would show you them both. Rimmel is the more affordable brand of the two, with SpaRitual products are available at discount retailers such as TK Maxx.

So let's start with Rimmel. Great nail polish, great coverage after two coats, giving you an even coating of polish full of shimmer and sparkle.

The SpaRitual polish is also full of sparkle, goes on very evenly and the brush is slightly bigger, making the application process quicker. I also wore two coats of this polish, however if you're in a hurry and literally have 5 minutes to do your nails you could get away with just one coat - like I did the first time I used it.

Both are gorgeous colours and finishes and so in terms of appearance I like them equally. However if I had to choose my favourite I would probably be the SpaRitual polish as it seems easier to apply and last a day or so longer without chipping (cos that's always a pain when it comes to glittery polishes!)

Which of these do you prefer?
